BALENCIAGA FW12

This first drop of BALENCIAGA FW12 has just landed!   Colour swatch below. 

COLOUR NOTES:

Anthracite has been replaced with a new grey which has lighter in shade and has cooler (blue) undertones.   I great colour that will transition into summer easily.

Cumin :  a caramel like colour – very nice.  Has a “vintage” like look. Great with with classic and Rose gold hardware.

Jacynthe: 

Mango:  Yellow like ripe Mango skin. 

Lagoon : Teal – beautiful colour saturation, beautiful colour.  When was the last time Balenciaga came out with a colour like this?  A new fresh colour and a definite colour to add to those “collecting”.

Rose Thulian:  A deep pink Rose shade –  raspberry like.   Darker in person.

Cassis:  Wine colour

Bleute:  a strong blue colour. Looks a little purple in the photos but is a clear blue in person with no obvious purple undertones.

Jacynthe: Looks blue grey in photos but has very clear Wisteria undertones….purple/blue/grey. Versatile colour which is alittle different.

Latte:  Dark beige.  Very classic, beautiful versatile colour.

POKER FONCE:  Not Ordered .

YSL Muse II with Strap ?

 

Sophisticated and ladylike, top-handle bags are a stylish option for day and night, but how many times have you thought  “if only it had a strap”?  

The YSL Muse II is a classic top handle style with soft structure which makes it a little less formal. A timeless style, the Muse II looks just as good with a suit  as it does with jeans.  But they have now made this classic even better, by added an optional strap. ANCIENT GREEK SANDALS

Ancient Greek Sandals have landed. 

According to Ancient Greek myth, the gods and goddesses had their sandals made on the beautiful island of Crete by a gifted sandal maker who enriched each pair with magical powers. Famous for creating the winged flying sandals worn by the Greek god Hermes, the sandal maker embellished his creations with his signature “Golden Wing” buckle.

Designers Christina Martini (who spent a number of years designing shoes at Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton) and Nicholas Minoglou (who heads his family's well established footwear business) combine contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship and inspiration from Ancient Greek mythology and sculpture.

Ancient Greek Sandals are handmade in Greece using natural vegetable tanned leather and traditional techniques that has been passed on through generations and used for centuries.  The chemical-free, natural tan leather ages beautifully with time and wear.
